Geology & GIS

Drone mapping, spatial data interpretation and geospatial systems supporting land, geology and infrastructure projects.

Overview

This work supports projects that require the integration of land, geological and spatial information from a single drone survey of a site to a standing spatial database that a client's team uses to manage land, infrastructure or natural resources over time.

Our services include

  • Geotechnical surveys
  • Geology & GIS
  • Spatial data interpretation
  • Mapping and geospatial analysis

Typical approach

Drone (UAV) surveys capture high-resolution orthophotos and digital surface models for sites where rapid, wide-area coverage matters quarries, large developments, agricultural land, corridor studies. We process the imagery into orthomosaics, contours and volumetric models, and where a project needs it, build this into a GIS organising boundary, infrastructure and land-use data into layers a client can query, update and map without needing a surveyor on-site for every question. These services help clients understand the physical and spatial characteristics of project areas and support more informed planning and decision-making.

What a client receives

Orthophotos, digital elevation models and volumetric reports for drone work; and for GIS projects, a structured, documented spatial dataset delivered in the format your team already works in (shapefile, geodatabase or a simple web map), with training on how to maintain it.
